📝New Policy Paper Available – Review of semiconductor strategic frameworks: The case of Czechia, Germany and Poland

20.03.2026

We are pleased to announce the publication of the policy paper Review of semiconductor strategic frameworks: The case of Czechia, Germany and Poland by one of our researchers, Dr. Jakub Bakule from the Faculty of Arts.

This policy paper serves as an overview of new semiconductor strategies, their place in the overall strategic framework and multilevel government. The EU Chips Act provides a basic framework for support in the semiconductor industry. It offers coordination mechanisms while leaving specific strategies to individual Member States. Consequently, national approaches vary significantly. The diversity makes national strategic frameworks difficult to understand, and key stakeholders are left without in-depth insight for achieving complementarity and more effective competition. This report aims to bridge the information gap between Germany, Poland and Czechia.

Dr. Jakub Bakule is a political scientist with focus on participatory democracy. He specializes in applied research and works as the director of research agency NMS. Currently he is also the sitting president of the Cultural and Creative Federation Czechia.

This policy paper is avaible on our website here in the section titled “Policy Papers.”
