📢Practical Legal Guidelines for Taiwanese Investors in English and Mandarin

06.03.2026

In response to the growing interest of Taiwanese businesses in expanding their activities in the Czech Republic, SCRC prepared, during November and December 2025, a new practical resource designed to help investors navigate the local legal and regulatory environment: Practical Legal Guidelines for Taiwanese Investors, now available in both English and Mandarin. The guidelines address key legal and regulatory questions that Taiwanese investors may commonly face when entering the market. The document covers issues related to establishing and running a company, employment and posting of workers within the European Union, and tax regimes and tax obligations of entrepreneurs. It also explains permit regimes and restrictions related to emissions and transport, as well as foreign trade regulations and specific EU export-import measures that may affect international business operations.

The following answers were prepared by SCRC’s legal researchers from the Faculty of Law, Charles University. Further answers and more detailed explanations are contained in HANDBOOKS on individual areas of legal regulation, which are being prepared and published on an ongoing basis as part of the SCRC project in 2024-2027. A full list of authors is provided at the end of the document.

The Mandarin translation was prepared by Chun-Wen (Tina) Chang, who is responsible for project management of the SCRC project at National Chengchi University (NCCU). The legal language of the Mandarin version was further reviewed by one of our leading scholars, Prof. Huang-Chih Sung.
