The CzechInvest Business and Investment Development Agency, in cooperation with the Czech Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, organized the Czech–Taiwanese Investment Forum titled “The Czech Semiconductor Bridge to Europe”on 28 March 2025.
The Czech delegation, led by CzechInvest CEO Jan Michal and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Petr Očko, presented the Czech Republic as a potential investment hub for Taiwanese semiconductors and their distribution to other EU countries, particularly Germany.
The forum also featured Michal Tomášek, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law, who introduced the involvement of Charles University in the Czech–Taiwanese SCRC project (Charles University Supply Chain Resilience Centre) from the perspective of the Faculty of Law. He explained the fundamental aspects of the European legal environment and answered specific questions concerning the differences between the monetary and banking systems of the Eurozone and the Czech koruna.
