On May 6, 2026, the College of Commerce at NCCU hosted a lecture and roundtable discussion on the regulatory requirements for starting a business in the Czech Republic.

The session featured SCRC’s distinguished researchers from the Faculty of Law, CUNI: Dr. Klára Hurychová and Mgr. Magdalena Hamáčková. Drawing on their expertise, the speakers provided a comprehensive introduction to the legal and regulatory environment for establishing a business in the Czech Republic, as well as an overview of company formation, licensing procedures, and key legal considerations for foreign entrepreneurs entering the Czech market. They also discussed the structure of the Czech legal system, practical aspects of doing business in the Czech Republic, and the opportunities and challenges Taiwanese entrepreneurs may encounter when entering and operating in the Czech market.

The lecture was based on SCRC handbook titled Legal Handbook on Establishment and Operation of a Business Corporation and a Branch in the Czech Republic,” which is available upon request at info@scrc.cuni.cz.

The event was jointly organized by the NCCU’s College of Commerce and College of Law, in collaboration with the Taiwan Studies Center and the SCRC.
