Dr. Klára Hurychová delivered a lecture on the Current State of ESG Regulation in the EU

On May 7, 2026, a lecture was delivered by Dr. Klára Hurychová from Faculty of Law, Charles University on the topic “Current State of ESG Regulation in the EU – How Non-European Entities Will Be Affected Within Global Supply Chains.” The lecture focused on the rapidly evolving landscape of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) regulation within the European Union and its expanding extraterritorial impact. Dr. Hurychová outlined key legislative instruments such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), emphasizing how these frameworks are reshaping corporate accountability and transparency requirements across global markets.

Overall, both lectures on May 6 and 7 were successful. The audience included students and professors, as well as representatives from industry and law firms, along with a senior officer from Taipei’s Ministry of Economic Affairs.
