The Supply Chain Resilience Center (SCRC) hosted a closed policy seminar under the auspices of Markéta Pekarová Adamová, President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic,on November 11, 2024. The event held at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, focused on resilience of supply chains and disinformation tactics and their influence on democratic elections.
The seminar was opened by Madam President Markéta Pekarová Adamová and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Tomáš Karásek. Presentations by Chen-Ling Hung from National Taiwan University and Ivana Karásková of Charles University highlighted the role of disinformation in undermining democratic institutions, directly threatening operation of semiconductor supply chains. The following discussion focused on hybrid influence operations and their tangible impacts on swaying public opinion in both European and global electoral processes.
