Professor Tomášek Represented SCRC at Czech–Taiwan Semiconductor Seminar in Taipei

On March 28, 2025, Professor Michal Tomášek, an expert from the Supply Chain Resilience Centre (SCRC) at Charles University, participated in the Czech Semiconductor Bridge to Europe seminar held at the Howard Plaza Hotel in Taipei.

The event, organized for selected Taiwanese semiconductor companies, aimed to deepen cooperation between the Czech Republic and Taiwan in high-tech sectors and to highlight strategic opportunities for expansion into the European market. In his lecture titled “Investment in the Czech Republic with Focus on Providing Services to Clients in Dresden,” Professor Tomášek discussed key legal and regulatory frameworks related to investing in the Czech Republic and serving clients in Germany and other EU countries. His presentation focused on EU law, national legislation, and the harmonization between Czech and German legal systems.

The seminar featured representatives from CzechInvest, the Confederation of Industry and Transport, and the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster, emphasizing the Czech Republic’s readiness to support Taiwanese investors through legal, tax, and infrastructure mechanisms.

Professor Tomášek’s participation highlighted SCRC’s ongoing commitment to building strategic international partnerships that enhance supply chain resilience and promote cross-border collaboration in critical technologies.
