On December 9, 2025, SCRC in cooperation with the Advanced Chip Design and Research Center (ACDRC) hosted a professional workshop at the CyberSecurity Hub in Brno. The event opened with welcome remarks from the Director of SCRC, Dr. David Emler. The agenda featured a joint session on opportunities for collaboration between the SCRC and ACDRC, highlighting each center’s activities and ways for participants to get involved. One of our researchers, Prof. Jiří Blažek (Faculty of Science, CUNI), delivered a lecture on the geopolitical context of the semiconductor industry, touching on the sector’s key characteristics, the geopolitical forces shaping it, global competition, and insights from recent mapping of the Czech semiconductor ecosystem. The workshop concluded with a moderated discussion and networking session led by the Director of ACDRC, Prof. Tomáš Pitner.
