On December 13th, 2024, SCRC was featured in MicroElectronic Magazine in an article titled “Czech Republic Goes All-In on Semiconductor Development with a Series of Support Policies.” A few months ago, the MicroElectronic Magazine highlighted that the SCRC, led by Director David Emler, brings together experts in literature, law, and business to research industrial policy, geopolitics, and legal coherence between Taiwan and the Czech Republic. A key focus is helping Taiwanese semiconductor companies navigate legal differences for smoother business operations and investments in the Czech Republic. On January 26th, 2025, the Taiwanese Central News Agency (CNA) highlighted the Supply Chain Resilience Center in an article titled “Czech Republic Becomes a New Focus Point for Taiwan’s Semiconductor Investments, with Both Opportunities and Challenges.” The report overall presented that the SCRC focuses on semiconductor supply chain management and investment opportunities in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the article also mentioned the first international conference hosted by SCRC on December 6th, 2024, which focused on semiconductor supply chain management, emphasizing its role in fostering industry-academic collaboration. As both the Czech and Taiwanese governments work to attract Taiwanese investment, overcoming internal coordination and political challenges will be crucial for achieving concrete economic and technological outcomes.
