A roundtable discussion will take place at the Faculty of Law, Charles Unieversity focusing on the practical challenges of implementing the EU Chips Act and the upcoming “Chips Act 2.0” initiative. This event aims to provide an up-to-date perspective on how the Chips Act has been implemented across the EU in practice — and to discuss the implications of the proposed “Chips Act 2.0”. The debate will explore the shift from ambitious goals to more realistic strategies, greater emphasis on skills development, packaging and mature technologies, faster regulatory procedures, and a broader approach to competitiveness in the global technological landscape.
