SCRC Roundtable on Semiconductor Resilience in the CEE Region

21.09.2026

On September 29 and 30, 2026, the SCRC research team from the Faculty of Arts, CUNI is organizing a roundtable, bringing together representatives of government, diplomacy, academia, industry, and security organizations to discuss semiconductor resilience and security in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Semiconductors have become a strategic priority for CEE, underpinning key sectors including automotive, advanced manufacturing, electronics, defence, energy, and digital technologies, while also playing an increasingly important role in national security. At the same time, countries across the region remain exposed to disruptions in global supply chains and geopolitical tensions, with significant differences in semiconductor capabilities, policy priorities, and levels of dependency.

Therefore, the SCRC roundtable aims to foster a shared understanding of the challenges surrounding semiconductor resilience and security across CEE, draw lessons from successful international approaches, and identify opportunities for stronger regional cooperation. By connecting perspectives from the public, private, academic, and security sectors, the discussion will explore how closer coordination can contribute to more resilient semiconductor supply chains and strengthen the region’s ability to respond to geopolitical and economic disruptions.

The event is for invited guests only.
